MY 100TH PATTERN ON RAVELRY!!!

The pattern was first published in the first issue of The Valiant Tailoress magazine: The enchanted forest.
You can find the issue for sale on www.valiant-tailoress.com

Worked in a shimmering lace weight yarn, the stole is like a blanket of light, filtering through sunspots and stars illuminating the dark shadows cast by the forest.

The stole would make a lovely wedding gift!

The ample width and length of the stole allow it to be draped in various ways. When flowing freely, it displays the three different beautiful lace patterns and the leaf border. Of course, it can be worn to “just” warm the shoulders, but it is also well suited for festive events and to be combined with an evening dress.

Construction

  1. The stole is knit in sections with separate transition instructions between the sections. There are altogether 5 sections and 4 transitions.
  2. A lace leaf border is worked all around and just for the bottom of the stole there is another lace leaf border. Sections 1 and 5 are worked with the same lace pattern as are sections 2 and 4. The center of the stole is worked in another, different, delicate and elegant lace pattern.
  3. For Transition 1, both written instructions and a chart are given. The other 3 transitions are worked from charts.

Finished Measurements: 26” x 70”/66cm x 178cm.

Materials: Yarn - Cashmere Silk 600, FIBER PASSION, 80% Silk, 20% Kashmir, 3 skeins.
