The rucksack demonstrates what will happen when stripes are added to felted entrelac fabric. The lightning bolt is created by strategically placing stripes of color within each entrelac unit. Since the contrasting color (B) is only used for a few rows, the main color (A) can be carried from unit to unit. Color B can be carried up along the joining selvedge, minimizing the number of ends.
