A simple fluffy fuzzy hat… with a smooth merino brim for those people who don’t enjoy getting fluff in their eyes and noses (everyone) and an optional giant pompom for those who love giant pompoms… (maybe everyone?)

Designed for “one size fits most” this has a slightly oversized slouch to it and can be worn down over the forehead for warmth or pushed back on the head for style :)
Written instructions for the knitting included.

You will need 2 x 7-10g mini skeins of sport weight merino in your choice of coordinating solid colours (sample uses Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sport), and a colour-matched 50g skein of hand dyed Peter Rabbit angora by Fleece Artist (or possibly a kid mohair substitute, maybe held double - but you’d need to do your own gauge experiments). 3mm and 4mm needles also required.

Pompom making directions are not included. You can either make a matching yarn pompom or attach a faux-fur ready-made pompom - or just leave the hat plain if you wish. If you make a yarn pompom from the remaining angora, you will use 1 whole skein to make this hat.
