My inspiration:
The town I live in has a hillbilly festival every year called Hootin an Hollarin. Cedar Pete is a character created back when the festival started that almost got lost in history until my twin sister and I started drawing him every year. Now each year I draw a new design of him and his family and my mother uses it in her T-shirt business to create a souvenir shirt collection for patrons to purchase.

This is Cedar Pete’s son, Lil’ Pete.

I’m most proud of how much he looks like the original drawing.

Have patience, especially if you don’t normally do multi media projects. It can be time consuming the first try, but stick with it. Finishing him is quite rewarding.
