’Lilac’ is a relaxed fit, no frills, minimal shaping sweater that lets the yarn do all the talking. It could be your first sweater project or something to keep your hands busy while your mind is otherwise engaged.
You could substitute a cotton, linen or silk yarn for the bamboo (a wool blend might work nicely as well), just be sure to pick a truly beautiful yarn, in a color you like a lot (and will still like next season), perhaps with some sheen to it, and which feels very comfortable to wear. The pattern is written in one size only, but you can easily customize it to your preference. If you decide to use bamboo yarn, just be aware that it may stretch quite a bit, depending on the way it is spun, so don’t calculate your sizing too generously. Happy knitting!
