Allover lace stitch patterns are so beautiful and really fun to crochet. But when you strip them out of the allover pattern and use them for bold, graphic accents, you can elevate your designs to the next level.

This was an allover stitch pattern that is in my list of favorites. I modified it to half-scale (the flower petals used to be diamonds), and extracted the points of the flowers from the offset pattern by alternating them with a growing section of double crochets. The sleeves are created within the repeat of the stitch pattern, so you don’t have to skip a beat, and can continue the same stitch pattern in the round. Keep the edging minimal, as the main element of this garment is the boldly graphic yoke framing your pretty face.
