When I became pregnant with my youngest, I wanted to make a blanket for her. So I designed this. It’s easy enough to take with me to the beach; to the doctor’s office and knit while watching TV. And it’s interesting enough with all the shape and colour changes so that I do not find it boring. In fact, it’s quite addictive — just one more block, and before you know it, it’s done. And I called this blanket the nickname we call our little girl — Lille.

The blanket starts in one corner with one triangle and ends in the opposite corner. The sizes of the blocks and the blanket itself are highly adaptable as you work depending on the yarn of your choice and intended recipient. You may also choose the end shape of it — square or rectangle.

This is more complex than my earlier multi-shape entrelac patterns. It’s a logical next step after you have tried my Emma or Anne shawls. If you wish to knit something similar but less challenging, look for my Nunna or Krisse blankets.
