Inspired by the flower of the same name, the Lily of the Nile shawl is an elegant yet easy-to-crochet project. The tall and stately flower, with its dainty curved petals, is evoked by the shawl’s dramatic lines and delicate edging points.

The shawl starts at the back of the neck and is worked downward to the lacy flower petal edging. Increasing is done at the row ends and at three strategic points in the body rows to create a triple spine structure. DC rows are interspersed with rows of eyelets for visual interest.
