A great beginner project, this hat uses an easy broken rib stitch pattern called Ringwood Stitch. Knit in a solid for great texture, or stripe a solid with a gradient yarn for great effect.

Knitting in any worsted weight yarn will give an adult small and medium size; using chunky yarns will give larger sizes.
Use size 7, 8 or 9 to make a nice fabric with whatever yarn you choose! 2 sizes included.

Any worsted weight will work, experimenting is fun! Handspun and gradients are always a great choice.
