A light and delicate honeycomb …
Linden is the name of a beautifully white honey and it seemed fitting for this pale shawl with it’s subtle hints of contrast colour and beautiful honeycomb structure. It reminds me of the bees bussing around a pretty summer garden.

Pattern Notes
A shallow, triangular shaped shawl worked in rows, with a simple border.

Skill Level
Easy/Intermediate
A good ‘improver’ pattern, uses basic stitches only. Experience with written patterns would be helpful.

Yarn
1 x 100g (365 m/400 yards) of a single ply merino sock yarn for the main colour
4 x 20g minis (280m/308 yards) of a single ply merino sock yarn for the contrasting colour

I used:
MC: 1 x Stranded Dyeworks Solo in ‘Eraser’
(100% Merino; 365m/400 yards per 100g)
CC: 1 pack Easy Knits Fidgies in ‘Yum on Nougart’
(100% Merino; 5 x 70m/77 yards per 20g)

There are lots of options for colour play with this shawl, you can follow the original by using 1 main colour and a pack of gradient minis, or just pick out a great combo of 2 skeins and use those. I think it would look great with 1 main colour and a selection of scrappy stripes and of course, a simple one colour shawl in your favourite colour is always a winner!
