Reverse stockinette stitch ridges alternate with 2x2 ribs
to make a knitted fabric that looks like a clunky woven
pattern. The stocking-cap version of the hat is super
easyβ€”once the stitch pattern is established, you work
without shaping to the peak of the crown. The fitted cap
is shaped within the stitch patternβ€”on the knit-side rounds
of the ridge sections.
