Linear Progressions is the first in an exploration of lines. All kinds of lines and what they can do vertically, horizontally and diagonally when used in colorwork patterns. Yes, this is a full color work sock.

Further, this pattern explores yarn mixing. What does that mean? Well, you know how you might not want to try to use a silk blend with a standard sock yarn? This pattern will allow just such combinations without any worry about variations in how each yarn works up. Both yarn types are used all over helping to balance any differences making yarn choices easier.

Another feature is that it was designed to take advantage of those Wild Children that we all have. You know, one of those colorways you can’t resist but then find hard to use due to intensity, variation, or arrangement of the colors. Well, chose the Wild Child for the Main Color and 2 solids that contrast and you are ready to go.

Note that the wide range in the amount of yarn used is due to this pattern being offered as Anklets, Crew (average length), and Knee Socks. Yes, you read that right. There is nothing for you to do but read the pattern and start knitting. All the directions for any length are in the pattern, including the gusset you will need for getting the Knee Socks up over your calf muscle… and in 2 different width, so if you are size 3X you can still have gorgeous Knee Socks.

Calf Shaping is also included for the Crew Length Socks with a total of 3 adjustments so again, there is not reason for any size to not have great fitting socks.

The pattern includes hints, tips, and lots of detailed instructions to make the work as easy to do as possible.

NOTE: This is the Top-Down Version. If you would like the Toe-Up Version, it’s available here.

I want to add a special note of thanks to the amazing testers who helped out with this. ableramm, susimaloney, Kmoran69, SheepsPyjamas and panther38. There is not a better group of test knitters on Ravelry!
