About Lingholm:

Lingholm is a simple circular cowl and the perfect introduction to stranded colourwork as well as knitting in the round. It also features an attractive corrugated ribbing, typical of many hand knitted Shetland garments. It has been knitted in Excelana DK, 100% British wool, using 6 complementary shades. Excelana is the perfect yarn for this project; soft and warm against the skin, yet with enough stickiness for a colourwork project.
Construction:

Knitted in the round, Lingholm commences with section of corrugated ribbing, followed immediately by the colourwork section. Once the colourwork is completed a second section of corrugated ribbing is worked and then the cowl is cast off.

Techniques used:

Stranded colourwork
Two-handed colourwork
Working in the round
Blocking to shape
Working from a chart
