These are fingerless mitts for March. As the saying goes, March comes in like a lion, out like a lamb (or vice versa). They are long enough to cover most of your fingers, and textured to provide extra warmth, even on the thumb. But since they are fingerless they are not so warm as to cause sweaty hands when the weather does start to warm up.

They are quite simple and quick to knit, and easily sized up or down by using different yarn or needles. I used my hand-spun yarn which is sometimes sport weight and sometimes light worsted weight, but mostly DK weight. If you substituted a commercial DK weight or light worsted weight yarn it would work fine.

To make them smaller or larger, you may increase or decrease the beginning stitch count by a multiple of 2 to make it fit the size you need. The gusset section may also be increased or decreased by adding or subtracting rows.

The pattern has not been officially test knit so if you find any errors, please let me know!
