Sublte patterns of pixelated tiles decorate this open cardigan.

My Cardigan was inspired by the amazing ceramic tiles I saw on a trip to Lisbon, Portugal,“ says Emma Vining. Many of the buildings in this beautiful city are covered in stunning tile designs. I have used both textured and stranded stitch patterns to represent the tiles. The stitch patterns are eight-stitch repeats, worked in three different ways: firstly, as a textured knit and purl pattern; secondly as a stranded pattern with a cream background with blue lines; thirdly, as a stranded pattern with a blue background and cream lines. The sections of the garments are ‘linked’ by using the different stitch techniques and colour combinations to show the same tiled design.”
