These cute little socks, sized to fit tiny toes, combine knit and purl stitches with yarn overs and centered double decrease stitches to create an easy lace pattern on the leg and foot.

Pattern includes both written and charted instructions

Materials

  • Approx. 75 yds of fingering weight sock yarn.
  • Needle: U.S. Size 1 (2.25 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge for preferred sock knitting method (5 double-pointed needles or one or two circular needles.)
  • Stitch markers
  • Tapestry needle

Sizing Newborn - 3 months
Gauge 8 sts = 1”

3/15/14: There has been some errata found but it has been corrected and a new PDF uploaded. I don’t think the pattern will a\utomatically update in your library since it is a free pattern so you can either mark the changes in your copy or print out a new copy (v.2) with the changes.

Errata:
Work leg to approx 3” (not 7” as stated).

Rnd 2 of lace pattern should read: * p1, k7, p1; repeat from * to end of rnd. (second p1 - in bold, was left off.

Toe - Rnd 1 should read: Knit to 3 sts before marker, k2tog, k1, sm, k1, ssk, knit to 3 sts before marker, k2tog, k1,
sm, k1, ssk, knit to end of rnd. (remove extra sm, k1)
