A little bit of lace and a little bit of cables form a little bit of pleats on the Little Bit Shawlette. It is a scarf if you knit it out of 460 yards of fingering weight yarn as I did, or a small shawlette if you choose to knit it in a heavier weight yarn. Knit on the bias sideways, Little Bit is an asymmetrical triangle that starts on one side with 7 stitches with a lace section, increases to a middle garter section, and caps off with a cable section that naturally forms little pleats on the longest side of the triangle. Knit in fingering weight yarn and once blocked, the shawlette is almost 5 foot 6 inches in length, and is 17 inches at its deepest center point. Full written instructions, row counts, and charts for the lace and cable sections, as well as video help links are included in the pattern.
