This lovely little cable knit purse was our very first knitting pattern on Ravelry! It uses approximately 75gms of Aran weight yarn and you will also need to source a pair of suitable handles – we love these little oak ones, they’re hand made in Norfolk and we stock them in our shop: www.themercerie.co.uk

It is worked on size 5mm needles using a trellis cable pattern with lovely chunky bobbles and the knitting is attached to the handles with a row of double crochet stitches.

It is also available to buy as a self contained knitting kit.
