Pattern Notes
The entire doll is knit in the round, arms first (stitches held), then from the feet up to the top of the head. The hair and facial features are then embroidered on. The piece is stuffed as you knit. It is very easy to customize. The finished piece is about 3.5” tall, 2” wide, and .75” thick (size of a very thick business card).

Materials and Tools

  • scraps of several colors of matching-weight yarn (.5-5 meters each)
  • size 0 double-pointed needles (or whatever size creates a tight fabric that stuffing won’t bleed through)
  • small yarn needle
  • stuffing
  • (optional) pencil or cut-off paintbrush for filling small limbs evenly with stuffing

Techniques Used

  • cast on
  • knit
  • k2tog (knit 2 stitches together)
  • kfb (knit into front and back of stitch)
  • w&t (wrap and turn)
  • bind off
  • minimal embroidery
