The PDF contained a collection of small border patterns that I have charted from the book Tissus d’Égypte: Témoins du monde arabe. This is not a pattern book: it has descriptions and many excellent photos (most in color) of about a dozen surviving examples of medieval Islamic knitting -- more than I’ve ever seen in one place. The book is in French.
