This hat was first created when my sister joked that our niece should dress up as her cat for Halloween. She did and it was ADORABLE! This hat is very simple to make and any advanced beginner can make one in an afternoon.

The pattern is in American abbreviations and terms and uses the following stitches—chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, and single crochet two together. Pattern is for worsted weight yarn and requires a J hook and a yarn needle. You receive a PDF pattern with pictures in each of the 6 sizes below:

Preemie: 12-13”
Newborn/0-3 Months: 13-15”
3-6 Months: 15-17”
6-12 Months: 17-18”
12-24 Months: 18-19”
2T-4T: 19-20”
