A cute, quick little project. Add a rattle to make a baby toy while using up some of your leftover yarn. Make a Christmas ornament, or a Tur-Kiwi as bekbek did.

Full instructions for the creation of your kiwi are included. There are two versions for the beak and a step by step (with photos) for the eyes.

Pattern written in US terms. Stitches used are (American) slip stitch, single crochet, increases, decreases and a magic circle.

You’ll need a crochet hook and about 40 meters of DK/8ply weight wool plus a few extra meters for the beak and feet. A wool needle, stuffing and a little black and white yarn for the eyes - or some safety eyes.

If using this as a baby’s toy extra instructions for a beak that can’t be pulled off are included.
