I designed this hat for a very special girl’s second birthday. Her mother nicknamed her Ladybug when we were pregnant with our July 2007 girls and the nickname stuck.

This is a simple hat worked in the round and a good introduction to stranded colorwork and knitting from a chart. I used sport weight but DK or light worsted would work well too. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions.

Sizes: baby (toddler, child, adult)

Gauge: 4.5 stitches per inch in stockinette

Supplies: 16” Size 7 circular needle
Set of 4 size 7 double pointed needles
or size needed to get gauge
Scissors, yarn needle, measuring tape

Yarn: 4 colors in sport weight
