Sock weight sweaters are extremely versatile. They can be worn alone in warmer weather or layered in the colder months. I wanted to create a simple yet elegant look for a children’s garment. The colors of the Malabrigo sock make the cabled front of this sweater pop. The wash-ability yarn keeps it a functional sweater for the little ones. The base sweater is a tunic style girls sweater. Mods are included to make this a non-tunic or “boy” version.

I had a hard time coming up with a name that fit this wonderful knit. Someone suggested that I let my 17 month-old name it. So, I did.

Please check your gauge and if needed change needle to obtain gauge.
