The little ruffle adds a bit of femininity and keeps the wind from going up your coat sleeve. The ribbing makes this glove form fitting and comfortable for a wide range of hand sizes. Adjust the length of the glove to your liking by adding or subtracting rows from the wrist and/or palm.

Gauge is approximate since the ribbing accommodates a wide range of hand sizes. The bottom line is you want your stitches to be fairly tight so that the wind does not go through the gloves.

With 3 skeins of Malabrigo Rios, you can make 3 pairs of gloves by switching which colors you use for each part (edging/ruffle/main).

Stitches used:
K – Knit
K2tog – Knit 2 together
M1L – Make 1 left (explained in pattern)
M1R – Make 1 right (explained in pattern)
P – Purl

I like the cable cast on for these fingerless gloves. You can learn how to do it at https://mtnhollow.com/knitting/cable-cast-on/
