This baby blanket is worked with two strands of yarn at once and a large size N crochet hook, making it both warm and thick and a quick project to complete. The center block is worked first, using entirely single crochet and changing colors according to the attached pattern grid. The border is then worked around the center. Crocheted appliques are sewn on at the end.

This is an Easy/Intermediate pattern. The stitches are basic but changing colors can be a bit tricky at first! To help you follow the pattern grid, there are many step-by-step photos and detailed directions. However, you should be familiar with the basic crochet stitches - chain, single crochet and double crochet.
