Little Secrets
Little Secrets is a top-down, seamless, open front cardigan with pockets. Beautiful basketweave bands decorate the sleeves from the shoulders to the cuffs.
Upper back part is worked first from shoulders to the underarms, the shoulders are shaped with short rows.
The stitches of the fronts are picked up from the cast on edges of the back shoulders then the fronts are worked separately to the underarms. Multiple short row sets are used to shape the shoulders and the front slopes.
After the front pieces are complete the underarm „seams” are closed with 3-needle bind off.
Then back and fronts are joined together and body is worked in one piece to the pocket openings where the pocket edgings are inserted in their place then the body is worked in one piece to the hem. The fronts have a slight A-line shape.
The garter edging of the body (front bands, neckband, bottom hem) is worked in one piece in the round and it is shaped with mitered corners.
The stitches of the cuffs are picked up around the armhole and they are worked in the round.
