This is a simple, top down cardigan for American Girl or other 18” dolls. It is worked flat for the body and the sleeves are worked in the round, with directions for both short and long sleeves.

Pattern uses single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and single crochet 2 together (decrease). Any fingering / baby weight yarn can be used.

Sample was made using approximately 40 grams / 190 yards of Zwerger Garn Opal 4-fach / 4-ply sock yarn.

The name of this cardigan came from its sister shrug - one of my testers, withbuttons, suggested it for those times when your mother tells you to put on “just a little something” - well, why not for your doll, too?

My testers all did a great job trying on this cardigan on a variety of doll models - please check out the finished projects on Ravelry for an idea.

Thanks to patriciaelizabeth, tinochka7, grayhare, purlingkitten, sunmoonstars75, and wilmaelee for their test crocheting skills!

Feel free to make as many of these as you like for local craft fairs/auctions/raffles/bazaars, but please
do not sell finished items online. If making for charity, please let me know the name of the charity & include my contact info with the item (http://anastaciaknits.net ).
