This pattern began with a lovely skein of variegated yarn, and I couldn’t find a new pattern to use it with. What else was there to do but come up with my own?

This design is quite variegated-friendly. The slipped stitches combined with garter stitch helps break up any potential pooling of the skein of hand-painted yarn languishing in your stash.

One size only which fits an average woman’s foot. Try adjusting with changing needle sizes. Suggestions are given for how to tweak the amount of fabric in the heel.

Please note that this pattern has not been tested. Please PM me if you find any errors.
