Little Wasabi is the baby version of mom’s Wasabi cardigan.
Worked seamlessly from top down, it is shaped by contiguous saddle shoulders. The textured body is worked in seeded rib pattern. The sleeves are worked in the round in plain stockinette stitch.

Level: intermediate.
It requires the following skills:
-long tail CO
-backwards loop method CO
-stockinette stitch
-seeded rib pattern (knit and purl, see pattern notes)
-increases (M1L and M1R method, knitwise and purlwise)
-picking up stitches
-BO (preferred stretchy method)

Gauge: 24 sts x 32 rows= 10 cm /4” in seeded rib pattern with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles; 23.5 sts x 31 rows = 10 cm /4” in St st with 3.5 mm (US 4) needles.

-Yarn: preferably sport weight yarn. Yarn used in the sample: Drops Baby Merino.
Quantity required: 270 (300, 350, 400, 450) m/ 300 ( 330, 380, 450, 500) yrd
-60 cm ( 23”) and 100 cm ( 40”) circular needle size 3.5 mm (US 4)
-DPNs size 3.5 mm (US 4) if you prefer DPN to work sleeves
-waste yarn
-4 markers
-tapestry needle
-3 buttons diam 1.5 cm/0.6”
