A simple yet elegant design makes this beret a fast and fulfilling knit. It begins with a slipped stitch edging, progresses to a fair-isle hat band, continues with a mixture of stockinette stitch and fair-isle, ending with an I-cord top knot. The pattern includes color charts and line-by-line instructions.

Yarn requirements are small, with the main color using 109 - 125 yds, and the contrast color using 50 -75 yds. Use a self-striping yarn with a solid yarn for best contrast, but vary the main color and contrast color for different effects!

Size 7 or 8 - 16” circulars and double points are needed.
