For the Lizard Eyes shawl you need two contrasting yarns. Either two solids or semi solids, two very different variegated colors, or one solid / semi solid combined with a variegated yarn. I chose Wollmeise Frosch and Jitterbug Mardi Gras, as there was a slight hint of the light green from the Wollmeise represented the Jitterbug. Experiment and create your own unique model of the Lizard Eyes shawl.

You need two skeins of Wollmeise or the backdrop alternative of your choice and one skein of Jitterbug or the contrasting yarn you want to use. Depending on the size you want to knit, it doesn’t have to be Wollmeise or Jitterbug. The older Jitterbug skeins came in 100g/3.53oz only which is plenty for this pattern.

It is a modular knit but it is seamless. All pieces will be joined as you go. Also I found a way to avoid a lot of loosed threads to weave in. So apart from the start and ending point, no painstaking weaving is involved.

All instructions are written and charted. You will also find ample photo tutorials at the end of the pattern.

Happy knitting
