The design has ribbed neck, bottom and cuff edges, knit front edges and buttonholes worked into one of the knit stitch edges. It is worked in stocking stitch. The pattern has no seams unless the knitter chooses to knit the sleeves flat then sew them to the armholes. It is jacket style, knitted in one piece from the waist up. The sleeves are knitted in the round from stitches picked up from the armhole edges after the shoulders and collar have been worked.

It can be knitted in one colour only or the llama pattern which was based on a llama pattern jacket designed for 16 inch Sasha dolls by Rosemarie Shortell (see https://kendalssashabrood.wordpress.com/2016/04/18/rosema...), which requires 3 additional colours.

The pattern requires a 1.5 mm circular knitting needle and 4 x 1.5 mm cable needles. 7 tiny buttons are required.

This was designed to fit 8 inch Heather Maciak dolls and 8.5 inch Kruseling dolls. If knitting for Kruselings, you may wish to add a row of rib to the sleeve cuffs as their arms are fractionally longer than the Maciak dolls.
