This pattern uses random lace – no chart or written instructions – to give a unique garment every time it is knitted!

The shawl combines two yarns. Areas of stockinette showcase a bevy of colors in the variegated yarn. One of these colors is highlighted in tonal form in the random lace sections. A picot bind off frames the edge of the shawl and adds interest at the end of the last stockinette section.

You will need one circular US size 4 (3.5mm) needle, 32” long and two different colors of fingering weight yarn. Approximately 400 yards of one for the stockinette, and 220 yards of a second color for the lace sections.
