A tactile, super soft, short-sleeved cardigan, in a rich combination of textures. Different stitches and yarns give this design its unique look. Inspired by the casual-but-chic style of the late 1970’s, this versatile cardigan with a soft mohair roll-back collar can be dressed up or down. Suitable for an adventurous beginner.

Yarn: Worsted (aran) weight, sportweight (DK), fingering, (4 ply) and laceweight yarns are all used in this design. I have used the following Drops Design yarns:
Baby Alpaca Silk, Lima, Sky, Brushed Alpaca Silk, Paris, Alaska, Alpaca Boucle, Karisma, Air and Kidsilk.

Alternative yarns: Any yarn with an interesting texture, so raid your stash for fancy yarns, and combine with smoother yarns for a fun effect. Yarns can be held double to create amazing textures. I have used mohair, wool, alpaca, acrylic, boucle and silk. But make sure they match the gauge/tension.
