This little bag is richly textured and perfectly understated. Worked in a basketweave stitch, the fabric is thick and sturdy but also has a sophisticated curve in the body and on the front flap. A tortoiseshell toggle is the perfect finish.

Notions needed:
Tapestry needle, 2” (5 cm) toggle button; 40” (101.5 cm) bag handle; .5 yard (45.5 cm) lining fabric (optional); sewing needle and thread that matches yarn (if using lining).

The turning chain (tch) at the beginning of each row does not count as a stitch. When working the edging, make sure to catch the turning chains and enclose them in the sc.
