Log Cabin Baby Blanket
My inspiration was a knitting pattern, but I am not good at picking up stitches along the side of knitted work, so I gave up an decided to see if I could crochet it instead. I have now crocheted 4 of these blankets and learned such a lot along the way.
This baby blanket uses only chain stitch and single crochet. (UK double crochet) The interesting construction includes crocheting along the side of the work, but photographs and instructions are included, so it can be completed by those with only a little experience.
The pattern is written out fully, which makes it rather long, but once you get going it is easy to remember, and perfectly possible to complete using the diagram. The work grows quickly and is very satisfying.
You will need 200g each of 5 colours.
