One day while I was shopping at my local yarn store I found this beautiful yarn that just had to come home with me. Once at home I couldn’t keep my hands off the soft, squishy yarn as I thought about what I should knit. As I looked at this yarn it reminded me of growing up in South Dakota and going camping with my family. I knew that I wanted to knit a slouchy hat but couldn’t find the right pattern so I decided to design my own pattern. I love slouchy hats and wear one year round, even in the summer months of southern Texas. This pattern is perfect for multi colored yarn or solids and can be knit out of any fingering weight sock yarn. I couldn’t resist the super wash merino, cashmere and nylon yarn for my Log Cabin Slouchy. Enjoy!!
