I was very inspired by the simplicity of Joelle Hoverson’s Kerchief Scarf and Log Cabin knitting as described by Kay Gardiner and Ann Shayne in the Mason Dixon Knitting book. After knitting several different washcloths as gifts, I sort of fell upon this design. It’s cute, easy, and is very adaptable to almost any worsted yarn, and any color or combination of colors! This is also a great project for using up leftover yarn!

I wanted to make a softer, moveable fabric that was easier on the hands to knit up, so I used US10 needles, but certainly smaller needles would make a tighter, more durable fabric.
