These socks are knit from any yarn, but please knit your gauge swatch firmly! Use double pointed (or circular) needles smaller than recommended for your yarn.

  1. Make a gauge swatch: Cast 20 sts on your needle. Knit one row, purl one row for 4”. Bind off. Wash your swatch like you will wash your socks. After it is dry, measure across the middle 3” and count the stitches in one inch (gauge!) and write it down: ___ stitches =!”
  2. Measure your foot: and fill in the blanks on the back page of this pattern.

Materials:
1 set double pointed (DP) needles
1 set DP needles two sizes smaller than above
OR
12” circular needle + (double pointed needles for the toe)
12” circular needle two sizes smaller than above (rib)

Reinforcing yarn for heels and toes (optional)
Markers (split ring markers work great!)
Darning Needle
Your favorite yarn!
(worsted weight: 220 yards, 3 1/2 oz * 100grams is enough to make size 8 socks, 8” high)
