All newborn babies should have a pair of handknitted baby booties. These booties were inspired by the countless pairs that my great-grandmother Lois knit for her grandchildren.

Knitting skills used in this pattern: Knit, purl, pick up stitches, yarn over, knit 2 together, and i-cord.

Finished bootie measures 1 7/8” wide by 3 1/4” long. Use this size as a guideline, but feel free to adjust the pattern to fit.
