What am I missing?
Lola Cowl
Here’s Lola – not the song by The Kinks, and definitely not the Brazilian temptress of Barry Manilow’s Copacabana. But if you are of a certain age, and grew up in Southern Ontario, Lola will evoke for you the memory of a pyramid shaped fruit flavoured frozen treat.
And if you weren’t around then (the 1960s and 1970s) to experience them, think of a freezie but way better.
Yarn Note
The original was knit in Lori Law’s hand-spun 3-ply light-worsted weight yarn she spun from Falkland wool. For a commercially available alternative, you can substitute Noro Silk Garden Lite as used in the 4th photo - that’s Col. No. 2036 shown.
Updated 14 August 2011 - added Yarn Note
