The London Baby Cardigan is a unisex, short sleeve, cropped cardigan. The knitting pattern is suitable for intermediate beginners and is a unique and special knit either for your own baby or as a gift. The cardigan can be knit in just a few hours so it’s a lifesaver for those last minute gifts.

The pattern is written in three sizes which cover the range from 0-24 Months. Finished measurements are given for each size.

I’ve used the lovely Anzula Cricket for the cardigan featured here, but I’ve made this cardigan numerous times using various yarns from my stash, (some held double). With just under a skein required for even the largest size it’s an excellent stashbuster.

Small details really make or break this cardigan. For the teal garment shown here I’ve used Monahan Hand Dyed Ribbon as an accent and closure, but one unique, gorgeous button, an icord with pom poms or tassels, or a bit of surface crochet or embroidery adds just the right amount of special without overwhelming the rustic charm of the design.

Please see my project pages for this pattern for additional embellishments and yarn substitution ideas.
