This design was inspired by the flags used in the Equestrian jumps for the Modern Pentathlon. Further research found that there is a flag for every letter and a pennant for every number. Using the naval flags and pennants I have created a cushion that circumvents the no ‘London 2012’ restriction imposed by LOCOG on the Woolsack project.

Materials
For a 16” cushion using Aran Yarn, you will need approximately the following:
150 grams in Main Colour
50 grams Red
20-30 grams Yellow
20-30 grams Blue
A Small amount of White and Black (if used only in the flags)
No 5 circular needle.
Needle for sewing up
Stuffing.
