I needed a nice quick pattern for Holiday gifts that was functional and still looked nice. I love knitting fingerless mitts and I love the practicality of convertibles but I wanted something simple and not too fiddly (plus I donʼt like the flappy bit on top of my hand when not using the convertible part). I came up with a mitt with a nice long top that can be folded down or unfolded to cover your fingers that you can knit in one evening.

This is the worsted weight version of my Long Flap Fingerless Mitts pattern, with some improvements. I have incorporated some shaping to address the problem with bulk in the wrist area and included two sizes (medium to fit a size 6” to 7” hand or large to fit a size 8” to 9” hand).
