The Longitude scarf pattern is designed for a beginner, using a pattern rib pattern. It’s called the Longitude Scarf as the pattern forms vertical lines, similar to longitude lines on the Earth.

This pattern can be knitted with 8ply, 10ply or 12ply yarn. If knitting with 8ply, use 4mm needles. If knitting in 12ply, use 6mm needles. The yarn measurements and gauge are included in the pattern. It uses 2-3 balls of 50 gram yarn on average. If you feel it is too short, add another ball.

As it is a scarf, this pattern is one size fits all. Due to its simple pattern, this scarf can be widened, lengthened, or shortened according to personal preference.

Please note that all instructions are metric.
