Love suffers long and is kind; …” 1 Corinthians 13:4

Level: Advanced
The original shawl is done with 5-st Star motif for the short row “body”, but it proved to be quite a challenge and it doesn’t fully “open up” (stretch) after blocking which might be a point of frustration for some, so, with all that said, you don’t have to do the 5st-Star body. You can just knit short rows in stockinette or garter stitch, whichever you like better, just change the needle size if you do that.

Yarn: Any lace or light fingering weight yarn, approx 400 – 700 yards.

Needles: US 6 (4.0 mm) for CO; US 7 (4.5 mm); US 8 (5.0 mm); US 9 (5.5 mm) - all circular needles, 24” or longer.

Gauge:
approx. 20 sts / 16 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch, using US 7 (4.5 mm) needles; after blocking.

Beads (optional): 372 pcs.

Notions (optional):
Stitch markers; Yarn needle; Blocking pins; Crochet hook for beads (if any)
