This classic short sleeved cardigan comes off the machine ready to assemble. The bands are knitted along with the fronts and are completely smooth—nearly invisible.

Tamm Bebe gets a gauge of 6.75 stitches/9 rows per inch on the Passap at about stitch size 7. Japanese machines can match the gauge at about stitch size 8. One cone of main color Bebe and one cone of con- trast color will be needed through size 44 bust/hip.
Larger sizes require 2 cones of main yarn. Two beds are needed for the design. Passaps will treat the back bed as the main bed. If you have a choice of machines, this is easier to knit on the Passap than on
the Japanese machine but it will work with a well-adjusted ribber.
