Size small (7”) uses needles 1.5 and 2, or whatever size meets gauge of 36x44. I used 1.5 for most of the design, with the size 2 needle used on occasion.

Size medium (8”) uses needles 2 and 3, or whatever size meets gauge of 28x40

I used Morning Bright for the smaller size, Knit Picks Stroll for the medium.

These were inspired by my bevy of Meteorologist friends who lamented the fact that very few tornado-themed garments exist! Behold, an ode to my friends.

Included are charts for a Sun and a Snowflake. Any 13-stitch chart will work - create your own, and/or mix-and-match!

Hot tip: work the colorwork inside out to avoid knitting too tight.
