This is a fun hat that features twisted stitches, because we are all a little bit twisted, but your loony friends will love you all the more for it!! The pattern was inspired by the best story ever sent to me by a podcast viewer. You know who you are, my loony friend!

This hat can be blocked out into a slouchy hat as in the one I’m wearing which features LYDIAyarn Squishy in Garden Party. The hat can also be left unblocked in all it’s glorious ribbing and worn as more of a beanie. My son is modeling the beanie version knit out of Leading Men Fiber Arts Dramaturg in the Into the Woods color way. I knit his hat about an inch shorter before decreasing for a slightly smaller size as he is only 10.

This pattern is being released in tandem with the Into the Wool Fiber Retreat 2015 where I will get to hang out with (almost) all my loony friends!
